Children and Families

Our vision is for Children, from Chorleywood and beyond to have the opportunity, both at St Andrew’s and in their own homes, to know God’s love and to have a personal relationship with Him.

We want to see the next generation grow into passionate disciples of Jesus, who know who they are in Him and who are driven to see His Kingdom come on Earth!

Children’s Church on Sundays

Under 5s at The Nine

Toys, playdough mats and colouring sheets are available for restless little ones in the room between the Sanctuary and the Lounge during this service (except for when we have Funday Sunday at 10am). See Funday Sunday page for dates

0-3s at The Eleven

Come and join us in the Church Lounge, after a time of sung worship with the Church family, as we take an exciting and interactive look through the stories in the Bible. We have craft, games, songs, video and more to help us learn about Jesus and we end our session with a home brought packed lunch or healthy church snack. 

4-5s at The Eleven

We would love you to see you in The Bridge on Sundays. We start with the main church for sung worship before heading to The Bridge to go on our own adventure together to learn about Jesus and other people in the Bible. We spend time worshipping together with the 6-11s before we go to our own space to dig deeper. Our sessions in The Bridge are hands on, interactive and multisensory to help us learn more together through stories, craft, games and more.

6 - 11s at The Eleven

Join us in The Bridge to have fun and learn more about Jesus. We have activities like crafts, games, worship and lots of other fun, as well as an all-together teaching time before splitting into two groups for discussion and a response time. Each week we create a space where children can build community together and explore faith in their own safe space but we are also passionate about intergenerational worship so the children leave for their groups after the first part of sung worship and return for communion

Kids After School Club

Our After School Club is for children in School Years 3 - 6.  It currently meets during Hertfordshire term times only.

  • When: Every Tuesday 5:30 - 7:00pm  

  • Where: St Andrew’s Church Lounge (access through the glass foyer doors) 

Each session starts with ‘free’ play time, of football, crafts, table top games and activities followed by refreshments and a tuck shop.  After which we gather to explore through discussion, craft, activities and games a story or theme relating to the Christian faith. 

There is no cost for the After School Club, refreshments or tuck.

Special Events

During the school holidays this year, we will be running Detonate at Russell Primary School for years 1-6. This is an annual week-long summer holiday club from Monday 22nd - Friday 26th July 2024, which we run jointly with the other churches of Chorleywood. Bookings will be open from Spring 2024. We also organise weekends away for school years 3-6.
