Our desire is to be a worshipping people who honour God with passionate praise and pursue His presence with all of our hearts.
We value worship that is authentic, Christ-centred and full of biblical truth. We seek to lead our communities in worship that is spirit-filled using a variety of musical styles which give freedom and expression to the whole church family.
St Andrew’s is blessed to have a large team of gifted musicians and singers who lead musical worship at all of our services, both at the Church Centre and in our Mission-Shaped Communities. Members of the worship team also serve other aspects of the church’s ministry by leading worship for intercession, children’s activities, training events and conferences. Regular training and mentoring are given to help support and develop all those who are involved in leading worship. Participation in the worship life of our MSCs also provides a great opportunity for new team members to be identified and grow in their gifting.
Our expectation is to see more of God’s manifest presence as we worship, bringing healing and wholeness to people’s lives. Most of all we want to see Jesus glorified, knowing that as we lift him up he will draw people to him. We expect to meet with God as we worship and to be transformed in His presence so that we can reach the world around us with His transforming love.
